Term 3 Week 7 'Star of the Week'

This week's 'Star of the Week' is Asher.

Ka pai, Asher, it's great to have you in Room 5.

This morning we had lots of things to celebrate:

Last week everyone in Room 5 gained a Mathletics certificate. This is an amazing achievement and I am very proud of the children. Thank you, parents, for your support with Mathletics.

Peter (32) and Bridie (92) made it to the Top 100 NZ Students and Peter's efforts saw him place 57th on the World Top 100 Students - a fantastic achievement.

 

The top three Mathletes are: Bridie (8100 points), Addison (9147) and Peter (15449). Peter was also named 'Mathlete of the Week'.

 

The winter sport season is coming to a close and several teams have had their prizegivings.

Congratulations to: James who received a certificate for doing the best rip; Ollie received a certificate for the best dive; Hamish's and Callum's team received the Matheson Cup for the Best Conducted Team of the Season. It's been great to hear about the games each week. There's now a break before Touch starts in October.


In the fair collection for gourmet foods Room 5 came second. We each received a lollipop and fair dollars. Thank you for your support and to the fair committee. There's a week's break before we start collecting toiletry items.

On Wednesday we will be involved in a mini hockey tournament to celebrate the end of our hockey sessions. Please bring sports shoes to change into. Girls can bring shorts to change into.
